Music:-
Firstly, we will discuss about music. Music is very important parts in the society for entertain people. It is used to express the feelings of human. Every culture has their different music styles. Every country has their different feelings about the music. Music is part of our life. All people use music for celebrate their happy moments. It has so many styles for different people. For example:-western countries like western music. Indians like Indian music. Indian music is also dividing according to the religion like as Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, and Isaiah. Hindu like Hindi music that is related to the religion. Sikh people like Punjabi music .every person have different likeness about the music. All people are not suffered from the religion or caste.Types of Punjabi music:-
Punjabi music is also divided into many styles. Like as: - Folk music, Pop music, religious music, Sufi music, Duet music. Now we will discuss about these different categories of the Punjabi music:-1. Folk music: - folk music can be played without the help of musical instruments. Most of time it is played by the Punjabi people on the happy occasions. The folk music helps to express the Punjabi culture. The Punjabi women play this music on the marriage of the boys and girls and any other occasion. For example :-( A) Paani vaar banne die maaye …banna banni bahr kharhe... (B) Balle vyi hun jaago ayi aa .shava vyi hun jaago ayi aa.
2. Pop music:- Pop music is played with musical instruments and it is played by the groups. This music it played on the happy occasions for playing dance. For example bhangra songs are also the main part of the pop music.
3. Religious music:- religious music is played on the religious ceremonies. This music is played with different musical instruments. Most of time the lines of this music are taken from the “guru granth sahib”. Some messages are given to the Sikhs in the musical way. The Sikhs give more importance to this music. Because they feel this is the holy music in their culture. Akhand path, anand karj and many more religious ceremonies are done with the help of religious music. For example :-(A). Lakh khushian paat shahia je sat guru nadar kre..(B).Bin boleya sabh kichh jaanda.
4. Sufi music:- Sufi music is played by the poets and Sufi singers.. Kabir ji, badhali brothers are called the Sufi singers.. For example :-(A).kal kare so aaj kar..Aaj kare so ab.. Pal mein Parle hoyegi Bohr krega kab. Kabira bohr krega kab..
5. Duet music:- Duet music can not played by the single person. This music is played by the two or more people. These both people can be male, female and one can be male and one can be female. Deep Dhillon and jasmeen jassi are the duet singers in the Punjab.
